What You Can Expect
Down on the Forest Floor

Cantilever Experience
Just a short walk and you’ll be on the 40m elevated walkway that takes you out to our 10m cantilever platform, where you can peer out into the depths of the North Johnstone River gorge, very thrilling, I promise you.
Elevated Skywalk
After a quick rest at the second shelter, the Skywalk starts to wind its way through the rainforest canopy, offering up all sorts of amazing views of plants, insects and birdlife. There are two shaded shelters along the way so you can take a break when you need to.
Go Up High
At the end of the Forest Walk, a short little path will take you up to the lower viewing deck of our observation tower. And if you’re feeling adventurous, you can climb to the top (that’s 37m up) and enjoy the views from the very top, where you can see for miles and miles.
Allow about an hour for the whole shebang (but of course, take your time if you want to really enjoy it).

FAQ
How long does the walk take?
So the 2.5km return walk takes about 1 to 1.5 hours.
Is the Skywalk good for kids?
Yeah, it’s family-friendly, but you’re still responsible for keeping an eye on them!
Is it wheelchair accessible?
Yes, we’ve got some great alternative routes you can use.
What happens when it's wet weather?
The Skywalk will still run in the rain, and we’ll even lend you an umbrella if you need one. But if it’s a real storm, we’ll close the Skywalk for safety’s sake.
Can I come back another time?
Definitely. Your ticket lets you visit as many times as you like for 2 years.
Do I really need to download the app?
Yeah, it’s a good idea to get the free Mamu Tropical Skywalk app before you arrive, because the phone signal can be a bit dodgy in the rainforest.
