Be honest with yourself, can you really swim? Because if you can’t, you won’t be able to participate in this snorkelling.
Snorkelling is not just a fun activity; it can be a bit hairy, and there are certain medical conditions you’ll need to let the boat crew know about.
Even if you can swim, the boat crew still get to decide if you’re safe to dive in
No playing hooky and snorkelling by yourself, we need to be able to keep an eye on everyone.
Make sure you get your booking in on time; all bookings need to be in by 6:00pm the night before you’re set to head out
While we’d love to promise you’ll see some amazing wildlife, we can’t, but we do know it’s pretty common to spot some
This experience isn’t for everyone. It includes boat rides, beach walks, and snorkelling, so if you’ve got any mobility issues or health concerns, we’d love to chat to the operator before you book.
We’re happy to let little nippers (0-3) come along for the ride and travel free, just make sure you’re keeping a super close eye on them at all times
Lunch is a standard affair: ham and chicken, a few salads, and bread rolls. If you have any dietary needs or restrictions, please let us know at the time, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
If you need to bail, make sure you let the operator know by the cut-off time to stand any chance of getting a refund
Sometimes the weather just isn’t on our side, and we may have to change the itinerary
If the operator cancels due to safety concerns and the weather is looking dodgy, we’ll either give you another date to try again or slap a refund on your hands
If you just forget to turn up, sorry, no refund for you
FAQ
Do I need to be a snorkelling pro?
Not at all. Confidence in the water is essential, but no experience is required.
Can I go snorkelling on my own?
No way, due to safety regulations, we need to keep an eye on everyone at all times while they’re in the water.
What kind of marine animals are we likely to see?
The usual suspects, dolphins, dugongs, turtles, rays and all sorts of reef fish are just a few of the many cool creatures we might spot.
Is there parking available?
Yeah, you’ll be able to park for free at Newport Marina.
Are drinks included?
Morning tea and lunch are included, but you’ll have to stump up for anything else you fancy. No worries, though, drinks are available to buy on board.
What if the weather is a mess?
We’ll run the tour as long as the weather is good to go, but if it’s looking dodgy, we may decide to postpone or fully refund your booking.
