The Springbrook & Tamborine Rainforest Tour is a full-on day trip that lets you explore two of the most stunning bits of Queensland’s countryside: the breathtaking Springbrook National Park and the fabulous Mount Tamborine.
We came up with this tour in partnership with the Great Barrier Reef Tour, so you can expect an experience that combines world-class rainforest walks, truly famous waterfalls, amazing mountain drives and loads of local handmade crafts, all of which are just a hop, skip & a jump from Brisbane. We’ve crafted this tour with the idea that you want a real glimpse of the beauty out here, without feeling rushed – and that’s exactly what you’ll get, tonnes of stunning scenery, plenty of time to breathe it all in and just a few moments you’ll want to remember for the rest of your life.

- Pick-up: Pick-up is set for 7:45 am in Brisbane. We’ll have you at the hotel door and on your way before you know it.
- Return: Expect to get back to Brisbane around 4:30 pm. Don’t worry, we’ll make sure to give you plenty of reminders along the way

7:45 am – Brisbane Pick-Up
First things first, we’ll meet you at your Brisbane hotel and get the tour bus on its way to the Gold Coast hinterland. Our friendly local guide will be on hand to show you the ropes and introduce you to the rest of the group.
Springbrook National Park
Next up, we’ll arrive at the stunning Natural Bridge, where a waterfall plunges over a basalt arch and into a shaded cave. That’s just the start of the magic, though. We’ll take you on a guided rainforest walk through the lush subtropical forest, spotting vines, mosses, and towering trees along the way (about 1 km, about an hour of easy going).
Numinbah Valley Scenic Drive
This is the part we love, driving you through the incredible Numinbah Valley. You’ll get to see escarpments, farmlands, forested hills, and if you’re a photographer, this is the stuff you’ve always dreamed of capturing.
Mount Tamborine
We’ll explore one of Queensland’s favourite hinterland villages, kicking off with the Curtis Falls Walk in Joalah National Park, a blissful, peaceful rainforest stroll ending at a waterfall that will leave you in awe, then we’ll browse the boutique shops on Gallery Walk, checking out handmade crafts, local produce and cafes along the way
Cedar Creek Glow Worm Caves
We’ll step inside an award-winning, purpose-built cave for a guided glowworm experience. The lights in here are just incredible, and entry is included in the tour price
Mountain Lookouts
We’ll stop at selected panoramic viewpoints to take in the relentless views over the rainforest valleys and the Gold Coast hinterland, trust us, it’s breathtaking
4:30 pm – Return to Brisbane
And that’s your day out. We’ll be dropping you back at your Brisbane hotel, full of memories and photos from the most fantastic day ever

We have some natural terrain, steps, and uneven paths on this tour, so it’s not super wheelchair accessible, but we’re happy to help out where we can. Get in touch with us before you book to chat about any specific mobility or support needs you might have.
You’re on your own for lunch, but Mount Tamborine has heaps of cafes that cater for all sorts of dietary needs, from vegos to gluten-free, etc. Just bring a few snacks that you know you can eat.
